Before heading down into Depths, The Great Hollow or The Duke's Archives, be sure to have at least one of these with you.
If (or when) you are Cursed there are only a few options. By far the most convenient is to use a Purging Stone.
Where to get one
You can pick-up a Purging Stone in a few ways:
- Purchased from Oswald of Carim for 3,000 Souls.
- Purchased from Undead Female Merchant for 6,000 Souls.
- Swap Snuggly the Crow a Cracked Red Eye Orb for one.
- Dropped from Man-Eater Shells.
If you are Cursed, a statue like this will appear. If you are playing online, others will see this statue.

Usefulness
- Removes Curse from the player.
Note about Curse
Being Cursed will kill you. When you respawn, you will have half your health until you are cured. You will be able to kill Ghosts in New Londo Ruins, but you can also use a Transient Curse for that.
