An Egg Carrier may look like a pretty harmless enemy, however they carry a rather nasty parasite. If one of these parasites infects you, they will start to take over your head and suck half the Souls of each kill you make. Your kick animation will change too.

To remove the infection will require a Egg Vermifuge. You can get these from:

• The two headed Tree Lizards in Darkroot Garden occasionally.
• Eingyi will give you one if you speak to him when infected.
• You can find one on a corpse in Painted World of Ariamis.
• The Egg Carriers drop them from time to time as well.
